| 内容記述 | 文部科学省は主権者教育について「主権者として社会の中で自立し、他者と連携・協働しながら、社会を生き抜く力や、地域の課題解決を社会の構成員の一人として主体的に担うことができる力を身に付けさせること」とした（2018年、主権 者教育の推進に関する検討チーム最終まとめ）。主権者教育の学びが、一人ひとりの消費行動、投票行動につながり、社会が変わるはずである。しかし現状として10代、20代の投票率が低く、その原因と対策についてメディア、市民社会、教育現場で盛んに声があがっているが、抜本的で有効な方法は見いだせていない。2018年に、沖縄で展開した大学と新聞社の 共同企画「#みんなごと 若者たちが考える知事選挙」を報告し、主権者教育の実践をまとめたものである。MEXT (2018) states that Sovereign Education in Japan is to “cultivate individual skills to be independent and cooperative with others in a society and to be able to proactively tackle social issues in communities.”\ Education can have an impact on consumer behavior that eventually leads to voting and changes in society. However, the current voting rates of youth in their teens and twenties are low. Even though the causes of this situation and measures to improve it have been actively discussed in various sectors, a fundamental and effective solution has not yet been found.\ In consideration of this situation, this paper summarizes an experiment in Sovereign Education conducted through the project “#Minnagoto Wakamonoga Kangaeru Chijisenkyo” (#It’s Everyone’s Business: Youth Perspectives on the Okinawa Gubernatorial Election). The project was launched leading up to the gubernatorial election held on 30 September 2018. |
